What is Hypnotherapy?
Many people think of hypnotherapy as being helpful for weight problems or confidence building but it is possibly less well-known that hypnotherapy is useful in treating depression, anxiety, phobias, panic, relationship problems and dealing with past events which are still influencing your present life and preventing you from being as happy as you could be.
Someone who is day-dreaming may be described as being in a trance and we all daydream at times. This is a natural state of focused, absorbed attention. The hypnotic state is the intentional creation and extension of this normal state. In this state the subconscious mind comes to the fore. Attention can then be directed towards perceptions that lead to confidence, well-being, positive thinking and the achievement of desired goals.
Our hypnotherapy sessions
I will talk to you in a pleasant and soothing way while you rest back and enjoy the feeling of calmness and relaxation as any tensions ease away. When hypnotised you will be in a pleasant state of physical and mental relaxation while still being aware of what is going on around you.
Hypnotherapy promotes calmness and confidence. In addition, hypnotherapy can be used in the treatment of a wide range of problems and can help you achieve your desired goals.
The focus can be confined to the present or can include regression to earlier events in your life.
I would recommend anyone who is undergoing any stressful event in their lives to have the extremely positive uplifting experience of a session of deep relaxation under hypnosis with Alicia. If you feel nervous about the idea, don't because it is a most pleasant experience. I looked forward to it every time.
I was so apprehensive about therapy! But I knew I had to do something about my anger. I was really surprised at what a difference the hypnotherapy made. Even after just the first session my wife said how much calmer I had become.
Alicia has the most relaxing, calming voice! I have had relaxation sessions with various people and tried the apps and there tends to be something about the voices which is annoying. - Not so with Alicia!
