What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is based on the mind-body connection.  Many people think of it as being helpful for weight problems or confidence building but it is possibly less well-known that hypnotherapy in treating depression, anxiety, phobias, panic,  PTSD, relationship issues and all stress and emotional problems. Hypnotherapy can help you deal with past events which are still influencing your present life and preventing you from being as happy as you could be.

Someone who is day-dreaming may be described as being in a trance and we all daydream at times. This is a natural state of focused, absorbed attention. The hypnotic state is the intentional creation and extension of this normal state. In this state the subconscious mind comes to the fore. Attention can then be directed towards  confidence building, well-being, positive thinking and the achievement of desired goals.

Hypnotherapy is usually combined with general counselling and CBT.

Hypnotherapy promotes calmness, confidence. and self-esteem. In addition,  hypnotherapy can be used in the treatment of a wide range of problems and can help you achieve your desired goals.

The focus can be confined to the present or can include regression to earlier events in your life.



I would recommend anyone who is undergoing any stressful event in their lives to have the extremely positive uplifting experience of a session of deep relaxation under hypnosis with Alicia. If you feel nervous about the idea, don't because it is a most pleasant experience. I looked forward to it every time.
