Dispute Mediation

What is Dispute Mediation?

A mediator will facilitate discussion and negotiations between two or more people who are in conflict. The Mediator must be independent and will remain neutral. The mediator does not make decisions for the parties but helps them to reach an agreement which is acceptable to both.

Family mediation helps separating or divorcing couples make decisions about the care of their children.

Inter-generational mediation or sibling mediation helps resolve discord between family members.

How can Dispute Mediation help?

Mediation offers an effective way of understanding and resolving disputes and on-going conflicts and reaching agreements in a way that is satisfactory for both sides and enables you to continue with an on-going relationship. As a mediator, I facilitate this process. The solutions and agreements come from those involved. Meetings are fairly informal so that you will feel as comfortable as possible. The presence of an independent mediator is reassuring for both sides, allowing you to safely express your points of view.

Things have improved as my 17 year old son has now spent a couple of nights with his dad, long may it continue. The 2 younger children are looking forward to getting 2 whole nights to stay with daddy. Happy kids make for a happy mum - thank you!
